Child Safety Standards

Effective 17 September 2026

1. Our commitment

Abundant Life Family Chapel has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), in the ALFC app or anywhere in our community. Protecting children is part of how we care for our church family.

These standards apply to everyone who uses the ALFC app, including its chat, prayer wall and any other place where members share content.

2. What is not allowed

  • Creating, sharing, requesting or linking to any sexual content involving a minor, whether real, drawn or computer generated.
  • Grooming: building a relationship with a child to manipulate, exploit or abuse them, including asking a minor for images, personal meetings or secrecy.
  • Sexualising children in messages, prayer requests or usernames.
  • Sextortion or threatening a child in any way.
  • Trafficking or advertising the exploitation of children.

3. How we prevent harm

  • Every member must create an account to chat, so messages are tied to a known account.
  • The app is not intended for children under 13, and we remove accounts we learn belong to them.
  • Prayer requests pass an automatic language filter, and church administrators can hide any request from the prayer wall.
  • Church administrators review reports and can remove content and accounts.

4. How to report a concern

If you see anything in the app that puts a child at risk, email alfc.support@gmail.com with the subject “Child safety report”. Include the username involved and what you saw. Please do not forward or save illegal images; describe them instead.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police first by calling 999 or 112. In Kenya you can also call Childline Kenya on 116, free and available 24 hours a day.

5. What we do when we receive a report

  • We review every child safety report as a priority.
  • We remove the content and suspend the account involved while we investigate.
  • Accounts found to have shared or sought CSAE content are permanently removed.
  • We report CSAM and child exploitation to the relevant authorities, including the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Child Protection Unit in Kenya and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and we cooperate with law enforcement.
  • We preserve information needed by investigators, as the law allows.

6. Compliance with the law

We comply with applicable child safety laws, including Kenya’s Children Act, 2022, the Sexual Offences Act, 2006 and the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act, 2018, as well as Google Play’s Child Safety Standards policy.

7. Child safety contact

Our designated child safety contact can be reached at alfc.support@gmail.com. For questions about how we handle personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
